APPLICATION
The SK range of Thermostats is available in three standard lengths. Designed
for temperature control in Electrical water Heaters (industrial and domestic),
they can also be used in electro-mechanical baths, space heating boilers and
other devices.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
With temperature rise, the principle of differential expansion of the
brass tube and an inner nickel/iron tod is used to actuate a highly accurate
snap action micro-gap switch located in the head.
CONSTRUCTION
The micro-gap switch assembly is mounted on a porcelain base with rigid
brass pillar terminals. Electrical connections to the Thermostat are made
by the incorporation of two pinching screw type terminals within the thermosetting
moulded cover.
Heavy duty contacts are fitted to provide long trouble free life.
The Thermostats are available in three standard lengths 175 mm (7 inches),
275 mm (11 inches) and 450 mm (18 inches) having a diameter of 8 mm (5/16
inches).
The Thermostats are provided with clip for fitting to the pockets of the appliances.

Contacts : Single pole, single throw, normally closed, circuit breaks
on rise of temperature.
Rating : 15 Amps, 250 V AC
Available : Equivalent Fahrenheit Scales
Preset at fixed temperature, if required
High Temperature Range - above 80°C
